Magnetic hanger for pocket clip utility knives and pocket knives
Description
I designed this to clip my utility knife to the side of my pellet stove so it's always right where I need it for opening bags. It is designed to use 12mm x 4mm ring magnets, specifically the ones linked below. The actual measurements I got on these magnets were 11.8 by 3.78 so I'm not sure if this will work with other brands without rescaling the model. I designed it with the Milwaukee Fastback in mind, but the slot for the clip is 30mm wide by 6mm deep so I imagine that it will work with most knives that have pocket clips. I have the tolerances tight on this so after deburring the bottom of the print the magnets will press in, and be retained without glue. Not all printers have the same tolerances so your results may vary. I added bores for 9 magnets because I wasn't sure how many I would need to keep it from sliding when stuck to the thin sheet metal. Turns out that was way overkill for my use, and 4 magnets easily hold it in place. With 9 magnets you could probably hang an entire frozen turkey from this thing. I printed it with the magnet side down, no supports needed. https://a.co/d/12sSkku
