Cable Box with Zip Ties , Screw mounts & Strain Relief

Description

Heyho I was originally looking for a box to hide the cables behind my projector. Immediately afterwards, however, I also needed a smaller version for my ceiling light. With this version, you can simply push your cables through it and connect them inside or stow away other electronic components. If you do the latter, the recesses for cable ties help to keep things tidy! Different Versions: I have prepared 3 different sizes for you, each of which can be printed in one with high walls and one with lower walls for smaller connections. Mounting: You can use 4 x 3 mm wood screws to mount the box onto sth. strain relief: In addition to the box (and the lid), you will need 2 cable holders and 4 M3 x 10 mm screws. Choose the simple version for thick cables (approx. 10 mm diameter) and the one with a bulge for thinner cables (approx. 8 mm) to be able to exert more pressure. However, do not screw the brackets too tightly, otherwise the bracket or the cables could be damaged. In my case, I was also able to use the strain relief to minimize sagging of the cable on the ceiling. printing instructions: Ideally, you shouldn't print the parts out of PLA so that the strain relief doesn't lose its meaning over time. PETGV0 (Prusa) is certainly a better choice here! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L1DJqn2223M&t=3s If you have any suggestions for improvement or other wishes, please feel free to make them in the comments! Have fun tinkering! A small disclaimer: Everything that has to do with electricity naturally always carries a residual risk if not done properly. So please only act with the necessary minimum of specialist knowledge!
