Parametric Wire and Tubing Straightener
Description
This is a customizable wire and tubing straightener that supports both square and round wires/tubes and filaments. By default it is sized for the 608 bearing and supports wire and tube diameters up to about 5mm. If you want to go larger, you must ensure that you use a bearing that has a greater width than the thing you wish to straighten. Uses toolless pins for assembly, no nuts/bolts required. If you want to try printing your own bearings (not included in this customizer), then no hardware at all is required. Use "Plated" assembly to print the whole thing at once. "Assembled" is only for previewing and will not print reliably. No supports necessary for square wire or smaller diameter round wire configurations. Supports may be needed for the spools for larger diameter round wire. I recommend using a fast draft print setting to get your tolerances dialed correctly before printing it in higher quality, to avoid excessive time and material waste, unless you're completely confident that your printer and filament choices and engineering requirements are the same as mine. STLs provided for only 1mm square wire (what I built this for), and a handful of common filament and tubing sizes. Customize your own.
