Fairy Chess Pieces XIX: Spears and Their Friends
Description
In chess variants, Spears can be considered a sort of "gap" between Pawns and regular pieces. Like Pawns, they move exclusively (or primarily) forward, and if they reach the far end of the board usually promote to something with a more balanced move. Unlike Pawns, their forward moves tend to be slides, like Rooks and Bishops.
