Wax mold for Christmas tree
Description
This was printed in normal PLA, it seemed to work fine. There were no issue with the mold melting or deforming. Once the candle is melted, I let it sit for a about 45 seconds for it to cool it down a little, but still liquid(if you are in warmer climate, you might have to wait for a minute and half). Then poured it slowly. If you don't then there will be voids, so give mold a gentle shake after your first pour. Wax shrinks a lot when it cools, so you will have to do multiple pours to fill the space left due to shrinkage. I let it cool for around 4 hours, and again if you are in warmer climate you might have to let it cool for a longer time. 1. Layer lines are clearly visible in my wax cast so to avoid it try printing it in tree height orientation Z-axis should be in your tree orientation. 2. The wax cast might stick to the mold, I was suggested to use talc powder. 3. Place for wick is missing which I will be adding in next version. Will post the updated version in a while. 4. Also clip off the mold keys for the molds to fit flush.
