Sim Racing Sequential Shifter

Sim Racing Sequential Shifter

Description

Took some inspiration from various sources and tried my hand at designing and building my own Sequential shifter for Sim Racing. The files "Spring Wall" and "Shaft Pin" should be printed with 100% infill as the wall is taking the force of the spring, and the pin is a smaller pin that is threaded to hold the rose joint in place. Everything else is up to preference. I used 608 bearings in the handle for smooth rotation, and used M10 ball spring screws in the housing that fit into M8 Button head screws that are in the handle to give a mechanical feel as well as help with the resistance since I made due with a spring I found in a bun at work (Originally had ordered a blue die spring but blew through the spring wall at 50% infill so went with a lighter spring to be on the safe side. For microswitches I used ones that had a roller on the lever. Also used a USB encoder over an arduino for the fact is was only 2 microswitches, might in the future wire it into the handbrake I also plan to build with a single arduino. In the shaft for a pivot point I used 8mm OD metal tube that had a 1mm wall through the housing and handle and then secured with a M6 bolt and nut I am working on including the Fusion360 file so that you can make any edits you see fit to suit your case as I did a lot of my dimensions with items I had at work or laying around already like the bearings for the pivot point, not needed but I had them so threw them in. I used ball spring screws to give it a mechanical feel but that is another thing that could be left out if you're only going for function. I will also update this with a part list hopefully soon.
