Aesthetic Ornament Tree (Ver. 4.0)

Description

This is my third own design that I upload to this page. I designed this Christmas sphere to be able to participate in the "Tree Ornament Challenge". To be honest, I want to win the Ultimaker S3 :v (What most people who participate in this contest want). So I did my best to design an original Christmas sphere without relying on other people's designs. How did my idea of a Christmas sphere come about?. This is my story in a short summary that I leave you :v Well, I sat at my desk at work thinking about ideas, putting myself in "Charles Dickens" mode and after thinking a little, I drew a draft on a post-it note and from that draft the failed version 1.0 was born. Version 1.0 was really a bashof of 3D modeling. In my head I imagined an extraordinary and sensual design, but when it came to printing and assembling my sphere I realized that in reality I was not right in the head xD. After thinking carefully and using the powerful logic, I modified the design and version 2.0 was born. This version was going to be the final version, but when looking at my physical impression, I thought about making some improvements. From there, version 3.0 was born, which only had a simple modification that allowed the sphere to be placed on a flat surface and remain stable without movement (It was not a great improvement). In this version, I made use of 3 pieces of gray filament which were inserted into the main frame of the sphere. Actually, the model seemed to satisfy my designer complex, but I wanted even more. So I thought it would be better to add a spiral of filament (The idea occurred to me because my wife and I at that time were watching the entire saga of the "Saw" movies and the spiral, a symbol of the Jigsaw murder, stayed in my head). So I told my wife the idea and she asked me for a divorce :'v Later, I asked my friend Pedro for advice on how to design a cool spiral, so I started looking for a way to design it in SolidWorks, but my head couldn't go any further, so in the end I ended up thinking about cutting a long piece of red filament and pass it through several sphere assembly holes (Version 4.0) Finally, I printed version 4.0 and finished my design. Diseñé esta esfera navideña para poder participar en el "Tree Ornament Challege". Para ser honesto, quiero ganarme la Ultimaker S3 :v (Lo que la mayoria de personas que participan en este concurso quieren). Asi que hice mi mayor esfuerzo para diseñar una esfera navideña original sin necesidad de basarme en diseños de otras personas. Como nacio mi idea de una esfera navideña? Esta es mi historia en un corto resumen que les dejo :v Bueno, me sente en el escritorio de mi trabajo a pensar en ideas, poniendome modo "Charles Dickens" y despues de pensar un poco, dibujo un borrador en un post it y de ese borrador nacio la version fallida 1.0. La version 1.0 fue en verdad una basofia del modelado en 3D. En mi cabeza yo me imagine un diseño extraordinario y sensual, pero a la hora de imprimir y armar mi esfera me di cuenta que en realidad no me encontraba bien de la cabeza xD. Despues de pensar bien y usar la poderosisima logica, modifique el diseño y nacio la version 2.0. Esta version iba a ser la version final, pero al mirar mi impresion fisicamente, pense en hacerle algunas mejoras. De ahi nacio la version 3.0, la cual solo tuvo una modificacion sencilla que permitia que la esfera se pudiera colocar en una superficie plana y se mantuviera estable sin movimiento (No fue una gran mejora). En esta version, hice uso de 3 pedazos de filamento color gris los cuales fueron insertados en el marco principal de la esfera. Realmente, el modelo parecia satisfacer mi complejo de diseñador, pero queria aun mas. Asi que pense en mejor agregarle un espiral de filamento (La idea se me ocurrio debido a que mi esposa y yo en ese tiempo estuvimos viendo toda la saga de las peliculas "Saw" y en mi cabeza se quedo el espiral, simbolo del asesino Jigsaw). Asi que le conte la idea a mi esposa y me pidio el divorcio :'v Despues, le pedi consejo a mi amigo Pedro para diseñar un espiral chido, asi que me puse a buscar la manera de diseñarlo en SolidWorks, pero mi cabeza no dio para mas, asi que al final termine pensando en cortar un pedazo largo de filamente y pasarlo a traves de varios agujeros de ensamble de esfera (Version 4.0) Finalmente, imprimi la version 4.0 y termine mi diseño.
