Spool reel holder with ball bearings
Description
I made this very simple spool holder to take advantage of the ball bearings I had at home. The bearings had an inner diameter of 20mm and an outer diameter of 40mm, so the cylinder has a diameter of 20mm to fit together smoothly. (Note: to avoid problems I printed 96% scale on the y and z axes, but this depends on how tight you want the fit). The two scans are positioned to fit most coils, you simply slide the bearings to that point and then they will stay put, partly due to the weight of the coil, possibly you can consider putting cyanoacrylate glue to hold them in place, but I prefer not to so you can change them without problems. It fits on Creality's standard stand and is held in place by a small 5cm thick horseshoe-shaped latch. I recommend printing it horizontally for maximum strength. I printed it with regular white PLA and a 10% fill density, more than enough. The attached gcode file is set to print with PLA at 205°C with all the modifications mentioned above (10% density, 96% reduction, etc.) If you like it I ask you to support me with a like!
