Nerdy Gurdy tuning peg spacer washers
Description
These are spacers to help with installation of the preferred "Saphue 3L3R" machine tuning pegs for the Nerdy Gurdy 6.3. I found that the knobs on the tuning pegs for the drones and trompettes bumped into the wooden portion of the Nerdy Gurty head. There's a screw holding the knob on, so if you remove that you can replace the white 1.2 mm tall spacer with a taller 2.2 mm tall spacer, and then the knobs will rotate freely with no interference. You only need these on the four non-melody string tuners, not the chanters. When removing the knob screw, hold the knob tightly in one hand and press your screwdriver tightly into the screw as you turn, to prevent it hopping out of the screw and marring the finish. Make sure your screwdriver is the correct size for the screw. If you don't have a 3d printer you could buy 6mm OD x 4mm ID PTFE tubing and cut 2,2 mm lengths as spacers. You'd probably need to set up a jig so they all come out the same. Here's a link to one that looks correct, for about $8: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092CDLRQ3/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A3OV0VL8CQ900D&th=1 The white knob spacers that come on the tuning keys are 6.2mm OD, 4.1mm ID, and 1.2mm tall. The other attached file is a 3d print version of the washer used on the hex nut on the outside face of the tuning head, to take up some clearance. This would replace item NG-25 in the instructions, called "Spacer Ring". This way you can print them in whatever color you want.
