Gantry Holder
Description
I was inspired to make this based on how the V3 filament run-out sensor was mounted on top of the Z Gantry. Designing a mounting plate to sit there similarly to your hot end mount, it will allow the filament run-out sensor to move left and right in parallel to your motion of the hot end. By itself there is probably not enough pressure to move the gantry with the sensor alone, so it is intended to be used with a cable harness clip. My CR10S5 needs one as it would offer more relief than the weight of various cable chains. The backplate included in this isn't necessary, but depending on the rigidity of the front plate you can get away with a 30mm M5 bolt. If you do decide to use the rear plate you will need to use a 35mm M5 bolt. I included 2 different sets of pre-drilled holes for the most common filament run-out sensor, and the one included with the CR10 V2 and V3. You can mount these to the plate using 2 or 4 M3 nuts at 15mm long. If you have a Big Tree Tech run-out sensor or a non-mounting version there are included zip tie holes. These zip tie holes can also be used for any other feature you may have on the upper Z Gantry on your system.
