Dustshoe for Openbuilds Router Mount

Dustshoe for Openbuilds Router Mount

Description

Should work with any Openbuilds router/spindle mount 100mm wide with tapped 5mm holes. Materials required were pretty minimal. - CA glue - Hot Melt Glue 4 - M5x10mm machine screws 2 - M5x20mm machine screws 2 - M5 hex nuts 12 - 10mmx3mm round magnets 125mm (~5in) x 600mm(~24in) 40ga. clear vinyl <== == This stuff is way cheaper to buy at a Joanne fabric store than anywhere I could find online. They have it by the yard, but they will cut and sell you 5.5 inch or wider strips 52inches long so $24.99 per yard price isn't so scary. I think it came out to like $4 for a strip which is enough for 4 of the skirts. I made the mistake of trying to cheap out and use 12ga instead of the 40ga, 0/10 -would not recommend. spend the extra $2 and save yourself the annoyance of going back to the fabric store. You're welcome for this time and money saving tip. Assembly is pretty self explanatory, but here's the high level overview... 20mm screws and hex nuts are for the wingnuts. 10mm screws are for connecting the risers to the carrier. CA glue the magnets into the carrier and boot. <== == Make sure to mark your magnets in a way that you will know which sides you want facing out. Magnets are magical beasts that only like to stick in certain orientations. It would really suck to glue them in to find that you were not lucky enough to hit that 1:5000 odds run of coin flips to get them all in the right directions on the first crack. Don't ask me how I know... No, I'm not quite that dumb... If you print it, please show me your make. And definitely show me if you remix or make improvements.
