The Apprentice Commander Deck Box
Description
# The Apprentice Commander Deck Box <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OnYFO43lEd0" data-external= "1" > </iframe> This deck box suits many TCG card games, such as Magic the Gathering and Pokémon. I have named it “The Apprentice” as a homage to the Professor's “The Academic”, from which his videos inspired its design like the Professor's. It survives the shake test every time. It is very secure for travelling in a bag. This deck box comfortably stores over 100 double-sleeved cards and has two side compartments that can be used to store additional sideboard cards and tokens. Small tokens and dice can be stored in an optional box that fits neatly into the side compartments. Printing should be simple enough on most printers and require no support. It can be printed in most materials, such as PLA, ABS, or PETG. To build your own “The Apprentice” deck box, you will require the following: * A 3d Printer * Approx 250g of filament * Eight 8x6mm magnets * Some super glue to glue in the magnets Print the following parts: * 1x Deck Box * 2x Side Panel (Lid Sides) * 1x Top Panel (Lid Top) Currently, I have uploaded 4 40K MTG-themed lids. They have been designed such that each colour is on a specific layer and, with manual layer changes, can be printed on any printer. I recommend 0.2mm layer height if you wish to use these. If not, you can use the blank Side and Top panels as they are or customise yourself. Please share your designs! I will upload more as and when I make some. Please be careful when glueing the magnets in to ensure the magnets' correct orientation - they are basically impossible to remove once glued in. The lid should be joined together by threading some 1.75mm filaments through the holes on the sides. For the hinge, use ABS or PETG 175mm filament; PLA can be used but is more prone to becoming brittle over time.
