Satisfyingly breakable shapes

Satisfyingly breakable shapes

Description

When I've given people 3D printed gifts in the past, I've received comments about how satisfying it would be to break the delicate shapes. To my horror, however, I couldn't find any models out there that are designed to break in satisfying ways. So, after extensive testing (10 minutes of doodling and looking through my filament waste bin), I designed 4 shapes that I hope will yield high breakability and pleasure ratings. I then printed them in my most brittle filament. Notes: - The support box was designed to be printed inefficiently, on its side. This will generate support and allow those unfamiliar to experience the joy of removing it. I also messed with my slicer settings to generate it a little closer to the wall, but that's optional. - My model for the support box was 2.4 inches tall, but that took a while to print and it doesn't need to be that tall. So I shrunk it a little for this STL. - The ring STL is just one ring, but I duplicated it in my slicer and arranged them to form two slightly conjoined rows of three, like one of those disposable plastic 6 pack soda holder things that do a great job at killing marine life once discarded in the ocean. The rings took ~18 mins, the asterisk took ~20 mins, the tube took ~30 mins, and the support box took ~3 hours (although it'll go a lot quicker now that I shrunk the STL for this post)
