3D printer enclosure PTC heater w1209
Description
i wanna make a enclose heater for my machines easy to print and cheap to make , i found a few designs for resin printer but they do not use the w1209 temperature controller, so i did my own, i wanna try to print in temperature controlled chamber for better ABS and ASA prints and that i can use on any of my machines , everting prints without supports, i printed on ABS but PLA should be fine since i used the hole PTC fan assembly that will protect the case from melting since the original housing is nylon , i only cut on of the taps that comes to hold it ( i cut the oppositive side to the cables ), also i note that most of the designs put the fan in the front what its a mistake since the heater output can be blocked if you located close to the walls of the enclosure ,potentially damage the surface that its against to, my desing use the front as the heat output and in the back is the fan intake with spacers to suck the coldest air and heat it up completing the circulation flow with out obtrusions , also i set the temperature sensor in the fan inlet so like that the system is reading constantly the return air into the heater and give you a more accurate reading from the enclosure temperature , also the fan i connected running all the time the system in power on, so, force the air flow circulation and constantly reads the chamber temperature, if the fan is turn on only when the heater is on, by the time the sensor read the threshold temp the enclose is a lot colder that what you wanna to be. i hope this help everyone looking for a good chamber heater, this can be use on any enclosure 3D printer like K1 ,Bambu lab , Flashforge, voron or any enclosure printer, just buy your heater and controller to match your printer voltage , also i do not recommended high power heater ,due the higher is the power higher will be the current that you need to feed it , and you just wanna heat up the chamber not cook inside, in my case i using a 12v 50w heater with an old printer 12v power supply and the current consumption is 5,5amps , so 14 awg cable is more that enought for the wiring and also i installed a 8amp fuse in the circuit to be more safe , im using an xt30 connector for power. please understand electrical basics before to do this project. any question let me know , ill try to help the most that i can.
