LedLenser magnetic charging cable to USB-C adapter
Description
Subsitute for the magnetic charging port thats on some LedLenser Lights. In my case on the Headlamp H7R Core. I printed it on a SLA printer, and it came out really nice. Not sure if it will work with a FDM printer due to the fine details.. Let me know if you tried that out. I found the usb c adapter I used on ebay and chose it because it is particularly compact. https://www.ebay.de/itm/386361328807 Care must be taken to ensure that the adapter is connected with the correct polarity. But apart from that it wasnt that difficult to solder it on and I have got really little soldering experience. (as you might be able to tell from the pictures, but it works) One problem that I only realized afterwards is that pure USB-C cables, i.e. those that have USB C on both sides or are directly connected to a power supply unit, normally have no voltage on the corresponding contacts. This is only enabled when a corresponding device is connected and this is recognized. This means that you can only charge with this adapter if it is a cable that is connected to a USB-A socket. Of course, this is not ideal, but those cabels are still available more often than the original special cable. According to my first research, the CC pin would have to be pulled to GND with a 5.1kOhm resistor to enable the 5V. I will try this out at some point in the future. But that will require a different adapter with which the CC pin is also available. Im also going to need a nother lamp for that, since i dont want to tear of the glued part again.
