Kwanzaa Tea Candle Holder (Kinara)

Kwanzaa Tea Candle Holder (Kinara)

Description

I noticed there wasn't a lot of Kwanzaa 3D print stuff out there compared to other seasonal designs, so I thought I'd try one out :) A good reason to print with wood PLA! Heres a fun song to check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAOb8FGbPfA& Theres quite a lot of parts to this, but I think it was worth it. You'll need: Red PLA Green PLA Black PLA Wood PLA *or* you could probably print it all in white or translucent and paint it :) M3x10mm (x4) and M3x6mm screw (x4) hot glue (the screws probably arent needed, hot glue will work fine.) Note: the two wood pieces that makeup the main candle base are printed separate because of the size limitations of my Ender 3 S1 Pro. There is a small gap when connecting them together which Ill fix in the next revision. Also the holder for the black candle is very tight, although it does fit. I also need to optimize the screws a little better, but its not a biggie. Note2: The Models for Kwanzaa Day 1,2,3 are the same as Days 5,6,7. Just printed in different colors of course :) Candle holders can be printed with your favorite PLA settings. For my Ender 3 S1 Pro thats: Temp: 205mm/s / 65mm/s Speed: 50mm/s (initial layer: 30mm/s) Retract: 0.8mm / 50mm/s Infill: 20% Supports: No Skirt Polymaker Wood PLA (this stuff was much trickier to print, a little stringy): Temp: 205mm/s / 65mm/s Speed: 50mm/s (initial layer: 30mm/s) Retract: 3.2mm / 50mm/s Infill: 20% Supports: No Skirt **Make sure your bed is really leveled perfect for the large wood prints. The wood PLA doesnt give much tolerance for z offset issues. The base prints in 4 parts, labelled A,B,C,D. I just found this was safer than combining them and having mistakes since I never used wood PLA before. You could combine some for a longer print if you with though, and less glue / screws. Feel free to comment and let me know if you have any questions! Would love it if you would add a heart and lmk if you make one !:)
