Braun 5500 Lumen LED Light Mounting Bracket
Description
This is a direct ceiling mounting bracket for the Braun 5500 Lumen LED light bar from Harbor Freight. As my workshop is a basement with 8ft ceilings, hanging these lights from the included chains was undesirable. These brackets fit over the ends of the light and accept a single screw to hold them to the ceiling, or in my case, a joist. If you're also mounting these to ceiling joists that are 16" on center, the lights will also fit perpedicular to the joists with these mounts. **Recommend slicing/printing settings:** Slice with at least 10% infill using something besides Cura's lightning infill, which doesn't seem to fill thin walls. I used gyroid infill, and they came out plenty strong. The lights only weigh a few pounds, so don't waste too much filament here. **Recommended installation instructions:** This is a little difficult to install alone, but I managed. I recommend having a helper for the install. Screw the cord-side bracket up first without the light inserted, otherwise the cord gets in the way of the screw. Start the cord through that bracket and fit the end of the light in place. Fit the outlet-side bracket in place and screw it in with the light already inserted.
