O'Cello MIDI v2

O'Cello MIDI v2

Description

I switched to using a super-slim guitar bucker pickup and found a way to mount the Sonuus G2M and phone onto the cello itself for one self-contained package. I also made a part to "drop" the leg supports down so that the bow can actually be used further down the instrument. (I'm still using my customized S-Curve holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6006065) The bucker works well with pizzicato but strangely struggles to notice anything with the bow. Frustratingly, the G2M is still not particularly helpful, even if the bucker makes it far more accurate than the microphone did. The bucker is very sensitive to the distance from the strings, which is a challenge for a cello since the strings follow a curved pattern. [I might come back and tweak the spacing.] The weakest part of this setup is the G2M since I have no control over what goes on inside it. (The bucker is from cbgitty.com ) Even though I really want this to be an instrument that doesn't require a computer or un-mountable devices, I think a shift away from hardware (i.e. the G2M) to software (MiGiC or an alternative) may be my only option :/ I've included a faceplate that doesn't have my logo on it since that's only relevant to me. The main body is printed flat with a ton of supports underneath the slight indents that slide into the L-bars.
