ZWO SeeStar S50 Hot Shoe Mount
Description
This is a remix of Isaiah'sDad / Don Price's EXCELLENT Wyzecam mount for the S50. I smooshed ( I believe that is the correct technical term) a hot shoe bracket onto the S50 mount; shrunk the ring that goes into to telescope a little to make it not quite so tight a fit; and added a 3mm deep x 50mm recess on the front, so you can mount a filter. This allows you to use any hot shoe item (I've shown this with a Sun Finder) roughly aligned with your SeeStar, and/or use a filter. WARNINGS 1) I have no idea if the added weight will affect the motor, bearings, or tracking of the ZWO S50 SeeStar. 2) The indent to fit in the filter is only 3mm deep, so it does not grip the filter very tightly. If you tilt the tube down, your filter may fall out unpredictably. Or maybe to be more explicit, Murphy's Law predicts that your filter will fall onto a hard and abrasive surface that will scratch and break your filter. SO USE AT YOUR OWN RISK/DISCRETION!
