Description
Our world is full of animosity, divisiveness, contention, hatred, disinformation, fraud and war. We all need to change our hearts to be more compassionate, understanding of others, honest, peaceable, forthright, and loving. This sculpture is an appeal for all people to seek the divine in their lives. True, heartfelt prayer can bring powers from heaven that instill peace, harmony, understanding, compassion, and respect for others and their diversity. The seeking of divinity is our only hope - I believe it is beyond our ability as a human race without divine intervention. The hands coming through the rocks imply an effort, real intent, and faith required for God to hear our prayers. The rocks pushed to the side suggest that prayer may not remove the problems or afflictions that beset us, but rather, prayer gives us the power to face, endure and overcome the problems that confront us. This sculpture could act as a shelf sculpture and be a reminder to pray for a change of heart. The file is designed to print without supports - assuming good bridging on your printer.
