Disc Shooter

Disc Shooter

Description

Here is a disc shooter. It shoots small discs a few metres. The shooter has a disc magazine hopper for 5 discs, so can repeatedly be fired until all ammunition is spent. The shooter accuracy leaves a lot to be desired, but it is a lot of fun for children or grown-ups wanting to mess around. My design is inspired by the shooter design https://www.printables.com/model/281019-disc-shooter-mk4. Note, my parts are incompatible with the other design. My shooter was made in (mostly) PLA-CF, including the striker part. A 1.8mm striker thickness seems to give an effective range. I've included additional print files for striker parts with thicknesses of 2 and 2.25mm. Different plastics, like straight PLA, PLA+, and PETG will give different results, hence experiment with what filaments you have on-hand. My design uses 3mm metal screws to complete the assembly. You will need the following: - 2 x 3mm x 11mm bolt - 2 x 3mm nut - 4 x 3mm x 8mm countersunk self-tapping screws My print is made in 1.75mm Bambu PLA-CF Burgundy Red filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a Bambu X1 Carbon printer. Print supports are required for the handle part. Parts are by default orientated in the way I printed them on your printer bed. I hope you can find this print useful, too. Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
