USB adapter tethers
Description
On a recent family trip, there was a lot of "Does anybody have a usb cable? No, the one with the other end... No wait, the OTHER connector". When I got back, I dug through my stuff, realized with a bit of thought, I could have one cable that does it all, so I designed and 3D printed some tethers for the adapters! With a couple tethers printed with flexible filament, I now have a USB c-to-c cable with a c-to-a adapter tethered to one end, and a c-to-mini adapter tethered to the other. The tethers use a tight friction fit to stay connected--the flexible filament I'm using has just enough stretch to it for a nice tight fit, though I wouldn't trust it in life or death situations. Of course, I had to customize these to the adapters and cable I have in my house, so I'm including the .scad file and enable customization so you can tweak the sizes to fit your cables and adapters. It's worth noting that the width you use should be smaller than you expect--it should be the straight part of the adapter without any rounded shoulders.
