Tesla Model 3 Seat Hanging Hook
Description
Placing bags on the Tesla Model 3 rear seat can have an unexpected surprise. If the bag weighs enough (maybe 5Kg or more), the car will trigger a rear seat belt warning. Rather than disable the warning (child seat enabled), I decided to provide a hanging hook for that bag. This is my second hook design. This hook takes advantage of the vertical head rest pillars. These pillars are hidden in the seat design, but with little effort, access can be gained to the pillars. My second hook design secures to these pillars. The hanging hook was printed in PLA+. PETG would likely be a good plastic, too. I fear a standard PLA may prove too brittle in the pillar clips area. If you try PLA, let me know your experience. My print of the battery plate is made in eSUN PLA+ 1.75mm black filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a Bambu X1 Carbon printer. I used print support on the build plate (only). To improve the interlayer appearance, The vertical part is set to 0.08mm layer height. I hope you can find this design useful, too. Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
