tsb-2590a ambisonic rev 1

Description

This is a quad-capsule first order ambisonic microphone saddle that's made to screw onto the top of a generic BM-700 or BM-800 mic body. It is designed to use four Transsound TSB-2590A or four JLI-2590A capsules. NOTE: This will not fit inside the stock BM-700 or BM-800 head basket. The 2590A capsules are internally shielded so this doesn't present a problem with RFI rejection, but it means that you have four capsules hanging out bare in the wind. Wind protection is up to the builder. These work really well with the SimpleP48 circuit invented by David McGriffy and documented by Ricardo Lee. The DIY Ambisonic Alice Instructables by Jules Ryckebusch shows how to build the SimpleP48 circuits and wire them to the 2590A capsules, albeit in a different mic body, but the same wiring works for this as well. Have fun with spatial audio!
