Kyosho Ultima JJ Edition Rear Body Mount

Kyosho Ultima JJ Edition Rear Body Mount

Description

Rear body mount for the Kyosho Ultima JJ rerelease. The Tomahawk body that is included with the Ultima JJ rerelease (if trimmed according to Kyosho's recommendations) does not fit the chassis very well. In particular the large shelf that is created by the chassis at the mid-front of the car is quite ugly in my opinion. I was surprised that I missed this detail as it was there in the press material (albeit only if you looked closely). This detail was pretty disappointing as the poor fit on the original JJ car was pretty understated in comparison. I am sure some will disagree with me, but it looks poor. I tried to bend the body outwards to cover the shelf but that came after a poor attempt at heating and reshaping. I'm sure it is possible to pre-bend ahead, but I should have thought about that before my hack job. There are lots of different options for the RC10, but most of those do not dip low enough around the shock tower to be adequately supported. This led me to develop this mount which also allows me to put on other options. This body mount attaches to the rear "classic" wing mount holes and shifts the rear body clip hole upwards allowing for compatibility with a very wide array of classic bodies (Jammin Jumper, RC10, etc.) other than Kyosho Ultima/Ultima II/Tomahawk bodies. This additional clearance also allows for better wire management over the rear tower rather than around it. The slots allow for use zip ties/straps.
