Articulated Lamp Bracket / Clamp Base
Description
I don't even really know what this lamp is supposed to be called. I've had this one for probably 20 years and have always had an almost an identical model since grade school. It's an articulated lamp and magnifying glass with a peg on the end of the shaft that fit's into a plastic base. That base then gets clamped down with a bracket and thumbscrew or screwed into place on a surface. Whatever it's called, my base broke a few months ago after years of service and I missed having it for projects. Thusly, I crafted another base from mere plastic wire. The shaft is 13mm dia. the clamp is 6.25mm dia. The holes in the base are slightly bidder to allow for imperfections in the lamp and in my printer. I printed the one pictured at 0.20 layer height at 100mm/s on an Ender 3 with 75% infill. no supports necessary - the horizontal bores should print just fine. hopefully, it's sturdy enough to hold the weight of the lamp. Seems to work well so far.
