Cork wool bobbin
Description
Something from my childhood, we would have a wooden cotton spool ,put 4 panel pins in the top and a ball of wool which my mother had unravelled from a old jumper, we would sit for hours when it was raining making the cords, quite simple to make, Once you have found suitable pins, thread the wool through the hole then around the four pins hold the thread at the bottom along with the bobbin, on the second lap around the pins.Take the first lap in turn and bring that over the 2nd Lap to the inside of the pin then proceed in order around the pins each time around you can pull the cord down through the hole as it is formed, great for all children boys and girls, For safety ,If you use metal Panel pins ensure the pins are well glued in to the bobbin, You can substitute matchsticks with the ends cut off but this wont be as effective,
