Kitchen Aid FGA Meat Grinder Spacer

Kitchen Aid FGA Meat Grinder Spacer

Description

Kitchen Aid'S Fga Meat Grinder Has A Well-Known Issue Where It Creates A "Gray Goo" As It Grinds Meat. This "Goo" Is The Result Of The 4-Blade Cutter Being Too Thin For The Square Shaft It Sits On. Therefore The Square Shaft Slowly Grinds On The Metal Cutting Disk And Creates Metal Residue That Is The "Gray Goo". Based On Reading Hundreds Of Comments And Some Research On My Own, I Made This Small Spacer That Goes Behind The 4 Blade Cutter And "Raises" It On The Square Shaft So The Grinding Is Minimized. This Also Gets The Blades Flush With The Cutter Disk So It Works Better. Main Thing, Do Not Overtighten The Screw Down Ring That Holds The Cutting Disk In Place! Use Gentle Hand-Tightening And Make Sure You Can Turn The Main Shaft With Your Fingers Before Attaching It To The Mixer. Also Since Bacteria Will Grow In This Part, Print Several And Use A Fresh One For Each Time You Grind Meat. It Prints Out In Less Than 2 Minutes, So Make A Bunch!
