Hollis BOV purge cover for 2nd stage regulator
Description
The Purge Cover on the 2nd stage regulator of my Hollis BOV started to crack and disintegrate after about 8 years of use. The BOV is part of my KISS Spirit CCR. The purge cover is part of the assembly for the regulator and allows you to press and purge the regulator. It acts like a button and a spring; you press, and it releases. I considered making a replacement purge spring cover with 100% soft TPU, but it can be a challenging material to print with sometimes, especially in a complex shape. The supports and overhangs can be messy. Instead, I decided on a 2-piece solution. I would make the body, rim, and raised portion with PETG, and then a soft springy center plunger/button with TPU. It took a few iterations, but I came up with something that seems to work pretty well. I've been diving it for weeks now with no trouble.
