KP3S Pro U-shaped Filament holder
Description
Designed to be replacement for [Andrey's design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5919648) and [it's remix](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6073304) to fix issues I encountered with those designs, at cost of convenient spool replacement. This keeps same parts requirement & compatible roller, so those who already printed can easily try out without re-printing roller or buying new screw/bearings. Refer images for some hard-to-understand features of this prehistoric-quality design. --- Requirements: - Longer M5 Screw (used 16mm one for mine) - 608ZZ Bearing (can use bearing in stock spool holder) --- Improvements over L-shape design: - Symmetrical U shape design prevents sagging and catastrophic spool drop off - Can use spool with way smaller inner diameter - Faster & Easer printing thanks to near-prehistoric simple, flat holeless design - No interference at maximum printing height (220mm) - Added hard-stop on roller to prevent riding over when spool is near empty - Much Less support requirements - Can use Thicker Bolt fastener thanks to larger clearance (Mine couldn't fit before!) --- Disadvantages over L-shape design: - Bit more annoying to replace spool - Spools considerably larger than 200mm diameter require 10-second editing chore in blender - Doesn't look as cool
