Roman Solider Helmet, Galea

Roman Solider Helmet, Galea

Description

I have a Revopoint Pop3 Digital Scanner, and this is a scan of a Roman Helmet, or Gelea! Roman helmets were a vital piece of protective gear for the military of Rome. They were also a symbol of identity, rank, and achievements within the military hierarchy. Roman helmets were typically crafted from some sort of metal, often resulting in bronze or iron helmets. Some gladiators, specifically myrmillones, also wore bronze galeae with face masks and decorations, often a fish on its crest. If you look, I created a few different versions. I do not know how big it has to be to fit a human, but if you want to try it, I split it into halves and quarters. On the halves, one is hollow and one is solid. On the quarters, they are only solid. The two halves are completely identical, so print two halves and glue them, or print two tops and two bottoms at REALLY big sizes, then glue them. I think it turned out REALLY great, scanned from such a small piece! As you can see, this is free, but if you feel like paying me back, checkout out company FB page and like my site and my work! Or, if you want something scanned, send me a message here on Thingiverse or on my FB page and I'm happy to help, ESPECALLY for a good cause (charities, educational models, STEM stuff for kids, etc.). Tips work too! www.facebook.com/TimberlakeCreations THANKS AND ENJOY!
