Anycubic Vyper all metal direct drive conversion - Custom X-carriage plate
Description
This is an upgrade possibility for the Anycubic Vyper 3D printer to convert it from bowden tube to a direct drive configuration. It uses a 3mm sheet metal plate cut according to the schematic drawing and then bent into the final shape. For bending the part I recommend to make around 1mm deep grooves on the INSIDE of the bend-line, as bending a 3mm piece of sheet metal is not that easy, especially if you want tight radii. I recommend cutting the part on a lasercutter or waterjet-cutter. Plasmacutting does NOT work, I tried it. The precision is too low and generally the small features will just be melted away.
