GE Upper Rack Axle V2
Description
This is a remix of Fugops44's axle made for the Triton XL dishwasher. I believe it might also be made for other older GE washers as well. Thanks to him for doing the bulk of the work! After printing, I found that the inner diameter was not wide enough to fit my dishwasher and the outer diameter was much to small, making it brittle and more prone to the angular wear that destroys the axle in the first place. When I tried using the older model, the axle would shatter from putting the wheel on or taking it off. I rebuilt the axle to be as close to the original as possible, with an extra 0.1mm of outer diameter and improved bevel for insertion. I would have gone bigger on the outer diameter of the axle to prevent the angular wear more, but with my older wheels, I wasn't sure if the inner diameter was smaller before use. Support material is needed for the bottom platform. I used manual support painting to only create supports for this part of the model. I used ABS for this axle with 100% infill, make sure you use a filament that can sustain high temperatures. PLA is not suitable for this use case and will fail on you. Hope this helps!
