FlyFive33 Tiny Trainer - TrueRC Singularity antenna mount
Description
TrueRC Singularity mount for the FlyFive33 Tiny Trainer. Original design. Design goals: - 45º angle to maximize the antenna radiation pattern on the horizontal plane. - antenna kept relatively close to the body of the quadcopter to limit the risk of breaking the antenna during a crash or a collision. - allows a little of vertical movement via flexibility of the two arms to avoid breaking under crash. However limit the horizontal flexibility of the mount to keep the antenna clear from the props. - dual slit design to allow easy installation and removal of the antenna body. The slit in on the vertical axis allowing the to mount arms to keep the opening tight once mounted on the rear standoffs of the quadcopter. - Balance between protecting the antenna body, by wrapping the antenna completely, and weight, by keeping the thickness rather thin. The TrueRC Singularity is rather fragile on its cap side, which tends to pop off on impact. Recommendations: - Print with a flexible filament like TPU. - Print with the round cap of the antenna mount flat on the bed surface. - Use supports for best results on the standoff holders.
