Rotor Riot TANQ TPU Arm Protector w/ Fly High FPV LED Strip Channel
Description
This is a remix of the Arm Protector for the Rotor Riot TANQ 1 and 2 as the arms are the same. Got tired of chopping and having to resolder my Fly High FPV LED strips everytime I got in a good crash. Clear TPU actually disperses the light really well and looks even better than just sticking it directly on top. I put a 4mm wide and 1.65mm deep channel dead center down the entire length of the model where the carbon fiber arm goes. So if you mount the LED Strip dead nuts center of your arm, it'll fall into the channel no problem. I also increased the total width of the outside by 1.65mm in order to keep at least a 2mm wide wall. It's a bit heavier but should also offer more protection than the original. Organic supports from the print bed worked best for me. Pour some isopropyl alcohol inside once the print is done and it peels right off the bed and supports are easier to take off, no fuss. Included the GCode, .STEP file from Fusion 360 and the STL file.
