Description
Catamaran Frame For Stability – Freely Rotating Wing Working As A Sail – Ball Joint Connected Rudder. Rarely Wind Is Pushing The Sail And Sailing Upwind Is Possible With The Lift Created By The Sail. But Since We Are Not Able To Print A Flexible Fabric Sail, We Can Print A Wing Instead. Frame Is The Result Of Experimenting With Some Different Modelling Features And Is A Bit Unusual Looking. Modelled With Autodesk Inventor 2014. Planned To Enter This To The Boat Contest But Lazy Summer Days Made Me Miss The Deadline. Unfortunately I Have Not Printed This Out. My First Model For Printing Purposes, So Be Merciful. I Tried To Make The Parts Printable Without Supports. With Time I Will Revise The Model And Perhaps If The Boat Floats And Sails Ok, I Will Modify It To Be Included With A Couple Mini-Servos, Battery, Radio Receiver For An Easy To Control Rc-Boat.
