Functional Railroad Wheel

Functional Railroad Wheel

Description

It can be used to construct a cart to traverse DECOMMISSIONED railroads. I am currently working on my own cart and might update this if it works with these wheels. I plan on cutting a 3/4in all-thread rod and welding it to a longer and stronger axel. Then I will screw a 3/4in hex nut with a compression washer to secure it. Some parts I found for reference: https://www.homedepot.com/p/3-4-in-10-A563-Grade-A-Hot-Dip-Galvanized-Steel-Hex-Nuts-10-Pack-9073756/310338312 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Simpson-Strong-Tie-ATR-3-4-in-x-12-in-Zinc-Plated-All-Thread-Rod-ATR3-4X12ZP/205330036 10 deg angle RR wheel Outer dia = 100mm Outer top dia ≈ 69.4mm Inner dia = 60mm static load tested with 485N (seen in the second image) with no deformities tested with PLA-CF, but it probably works with your hardest filament ----note the relatively small Fₐ due to a shared load between 4 wheels. ----(tested for ~200lbs but can likely hold much more)
