Description
This Is An Enhanced Version Of My Earlier Bike Handlebar Mount For Garmin Etrex Legend/Vista Cx/Hcx Series Of Outdoor Gps Devices: Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:163503 It Is Functionally Identical To The Simpler Version Except For The Fact That The Slide Rail Is Titltable Up To 45 Degrees On Either Side, So That When Mounted On A Non-Horizontal Tube, It Can Be Tilted To Compensate The Skewness Of The Tube. The Slide Rail Part Of The Mount Is Separated From The Bar Clamp By Means Of A Cylindrical Cut. Two Screw Holes With Nut Cavities Are Positioned Right And Left In The Clamp Part And A Cylindrical Screw Groove In The Slide Rail Part Implements The "Tiltability". Using The Screw Hole On The Corresponding Side, The Slide Rail Can Be Tilted Up To About 45 Degrees To The Left Or Right Side. In Addition To The M3X25 And M4X25 Screws And Corresponding Nuts For The Clamp Hinge And The Fastening Of The Clamp On The Tube, An Addition M3X10 Screw And Corresponding Nut Are Needed To Fasten The Tilted Slide Rail On The Clamp. The Hinge Part Of The Clamp And The Screw Groove Of The Slide Rail Have Some Auxiliary Support Structures Added To Allow Easy Printing. These Are Shown In Red In The Openscad Picture Above And They Need To Be Cut Away With A Knife After Printing. The Provided Scad File Is Parametrized For The Various Dimensions And Angles. It Has Also Parameters For Printing Only The Clamp Or The Slide Rail Part. Stl Files Are Provided To Cover Most Commonly Used Tube Diameters, With Versions Centered Around 22, 25 And 28Mm.
