ZoomFloppy Project Case
Description
<H1>Now With Ieee-488 Socket Aperture!!!</H1> Zoomfloppy Is A Small, Inexpensive Circuitboard By Retro Innovations That Allows Commodore Computers To Interface With Pcs Through A Usb Connection To Allow The Pcs To Read And Write To Commodore Floppy Drives Like The 1541, 1571 And 1581. Using Third-Party Software, This Interface Allows You To Archive Commodore Floppies Onto Emulator Image Files With Ease. This Is A Project Case I Created For It Reminiscent Of The Commodore Cases. I Printed Mine In Zen Toolworks White, Which Has A Lovely Ivory Luster And Resembles A Vic 20. But You Can Print Yours In Any Color You Like. The Tan Of A Commodore 64 Would Work Very Well. There Are Several Stripe Files, Each Has A Color Denoted. But Each Stripe Is Identical, So This Is Really For Organization Purposes. You Can Simply Print The Same Stripe In Various Colors If You Want To Have That Commodore 64 Logo Look. The Screw Aligner Is A Test Piece To Ensure Your Print Will Fit The Board. If Your Board Fits Onto The Four Spikes Perfectly, Then You Can Print Away. If Not, Figure Out The Proper Scale Until The Screw Aligner Fits, Then Print The Rest In That Scale. Most Printers Are Configured Well So No Scaling Should Be Necessary But I Recommend Printing This First Just In Case. The Original Case Is For The Zoomfloppy As I Received It, By Default, Without The Ieee-488 Socket Attached. I Was Approached To Have This Aperture Added, So I Added It. I Test-Printed It, The Requester Test-Fitted It, I Made A Few Tiny Adjustments, And Now It Should Be Ready. Also, I Added Caps For The Circuit-Board Edges. Print These, And Slip Them Over The Raw Circuitboard Parts That Protrude From The Case Sides. Board Cover Title - Fits Over The Title On The Circuitboard Board Cover Parallel - Fits Over The Parallel Circuit Edge <H1>New License Notice!</H1> I Have Seen People Printing These And Selling Them On Ebay And Such. Please Feel Free To Continue Doing This, As My Main Aim In Creating This Model Was To Allow People With Zoom Floppies To Have Nice Cases For Their Boards, And I'M Not In Any Position To Print Them Myself. As Long As You Are Charging A Reasonable Price For Your Printing And Labor And Not Exploiting The Buyer, You Have My Permission To 3D Print These For Others And Charge Them A Reasonable Fee, And None Of It Need Come Back To Me. Basically, Unless You'Re A Corporation Using My Model For Your Profit, You Have Free Rein To Make These Available To The Many Many Commodore Enthusiasts Out There. I Fully Support That Hobby. I Have Updated The Licensing Attribution On This Item.
