I used 10' of fairy lights folded in half. like these: https://www.amazon.com/LALAPAO-Operated-Waterproof-Centerpieces-Christmas/dp/B0BXPHS893/ Resistors (if using fairy lights) https://www.amazon.com/Projects-25EP51222R0-Ohm-Resistors-Pack/dp/B0185FJ0KC/ ## Gate: 1. drill out the hole in the top of the gate base. It is filled to make printing easier. 1. solder about 3" of wire to the LED lights of your choice. 1. If you are using fairy lights that ran off of 2x coin cells, then you should add a 22ohm resistor in between the battery and the LEDs this will make the battery time last longer. 1. Cut a 59-60" long piece of the 3/8" diameter tubing 1. Feed one side of loop into gate base. 1. Tie a screw that fits loosely in the tube to some string or fishing line. 1. Feed screw with line through tube 1. Tape fishing line to end of lights wire 1. Pull lights through tube 1. Feed LED wires through hole in top of gate base. 1. Measure distance from hole to switch location. 1. Cut positive wire and solder switch in-line with positive wire. 1. measure distance from hole to ends of battery compartment. Positive goes on the side with the switch. Cut + and - to length. 1. Solder + and - wires to the + and - terminals. Negative terminal gets the spring. 1. Push the switch into the switch holder. Use hot glue to mount it. 1. Bend the tabs on the battery terminals 90° inward. 1. hot glue battery tabs into the base. 1. Insert battery. 1. snap battery cover into place. 1. screw the battery cover on using the m2x4 screws. 1. the PVC pipe fits VERY tight into the gate. It helps to put a tapered end onto the PVC pipe (my oversized pencil sharpener works great for this. ## Folding base: 1. Cut at least 8" of the CPVC to act as the feet. 2. The feet should slide in easy so a bit of hot glue is a good idea to keep them in place. 3. The center pole can be whatever hieght you want. It is a very tight friction fit and is designed to be able to slide up and down the CPVC for storage.
