TAG training projectile Mk2
Description
Revised improvement of the previous TAG training projectile adds a soft TPU nose that can deform to disperse impact energy across large flat surface of the solid plasic body, thus decreasing shattering chance. This projectile is still mostly solid plastic and adjustments to infill density and weight distribution need to be made to create a reliably accurate projectile. ******************************************************************************************************************* **THIS PROJECTILE IS STILL DANGEROUS AND SHOULD NOT BE FIRED AT PEOPLE OR VALUABLES.** This solid plastic projectile can weigh as much as 38g and pneumatic tag launchers fan fire at up to 200fps. THATS 70 JOULES. Where normal airsoft guns can shoot around 1 joule, it can easily be said that being hit with a solid TAG projectile would... **hurt** ******************************************************************************************************************* Now, print settings; NOSE: TPU with 2 shell layers with a very sparse 5% infill with gyroid pattern for compression ability. The nose should be firm but not rigid. You should not be able to completely flatten the nose against a flat surface. BODY: 5-10% infill has been enough for most filaments, using an infill pattern that uses as little filament as possible to decrease weight. Wall line can be 2-3 but ceiling count should be 3-5. It is recommended to use PETG or smoother PLAs (no matte, no fillers) though performance gains may be negligible.
