Anycubic Printable Spool Bearing Mount

Anycubic Printable Spool Bearing Mount

Description

I made a printable bearing holder for my filament spools. Made on efor my. Kobra Max and Vyper. This will probably work on all AnyCubic printers that have the same twist lock spool shaft. I was tired of hearing the spools making noise as it was super annoying. Every time the spool shifted I would run over to make sure everything was printing correctly. This clips directly into the stock spool holder too. Took about 2 hours to print all the components. Works really well. I added some light weight lube, and it's 100% silent. Print all items with 100% infill except the axle and roller bearings. - Axle can be 15%-100% - but I printed mine at 25%. - Roller bearings - I used 'Spiralize Outer Contour' aka vase mode. This will make them seamless and much more smoother. ** NOTE: The cap on the end with the screw (shown in the photo) was a countersunk screw. However I updated the design to print all as one unit. So you will not need any hardware. Print Parts: I suggest printing it at a very slow speed so the detail is much higher quality. Threads are already designed with tolerance built in. I was printing with a 0.8mm Diamond back nossel using PETG. You may have to change the percentages of the file "Bearing Outer x1.stl" You'll want to print it tall. Test a small section of it first to make sure the threads work with the caps. if it's too large for your caps, change the X & Y percentages by .5% and retest. Do not change the Z percentage as this will mess up the thread pitch. Assembly: Put the end cap on one side of the outer. Insert the shaft though the cap. On the other end, drop in your roller bearings. You should be able to get 15 rollers in. Cap that side off. Unscrew the other side and push the 16th on in from the other side, then thread the cap back on. It took me a little time to do this, but if you are persistent, you'll get it. After that, just twist lock it on to the stock filament spool arm and your ready to print again.
