Quest 2 Strap Adapter from Lenovo Explorer
Description
After replacing my broken Lenovo Explorer with a Quest 2 I discovered that while the screen was a big upgrade, the headband was a big downgrade. Not wanting to shell out for a VR head strap when I had one I liked already lying around, I got to work and created this with my limited 3d modelling skills and hardware from previous projects. To make this you will need the following: 2 - 8mm socket head M3 screws 2 - 6mm socket head M3 screws 4 - M3 nuts 1 - Old Lenovo Headset with the band and hinge still relatively intact Assembly tips: When you take off the four screws (circled in one of the pictures) off of your Lenovo Explorer be sure to retain them. You don't need to take any other screws out, just gently lift the headband and wiggle the clips loose. Carefully remove the hinges from the headband, ensuring that the metal pins remain with the headband portion. When you insert the assembled headband portion and the printed adapter, a small clamp may be helpful here to ensure parts remain in place.
