Adapter to fit a Tradfri Remote to Busch-Jäger ReflexSI Light Switches

Description

Hello all, it is time for home improvement again. IKEA has quite good kitchen lighting for a reasonable price, but that comes at a small downside. Their tradfri remote senders are quite ugly, if you glue them to a random wall. Since there was a unused lightswitch available next to the kitchen door, the challenge was: How to modify the existing light switch appliance (Type Busch Jäger, Line ReflexSI) to fit the mentioned tradfri remote (the old, small rectangular one!) And doing so in a way that is better than using white painted plywood to cover the old switch's hole (some say this was my wife's best guess on how to fulfill the task). Well. The story went in another direction, since there is a dusty 3d printer in the basement, that seeks its right to exist. The idea is to remove a present light switch (the electrical part of it), remove the actual switch-component (blue on the pictures). Then have some kind of bracket solution to attach to the light switch's remaining metal frame. Well...the rest you can see yourself. The result does add some height compared to the "original" mounting of a generic light switch mechanism. But...I guess only I and other tinkerers might see it though. The only thing you'd have to sacrifice is an old switch mechanism and a switch rocker cover. Have fun. Hannes
