Ender 3 filament spool holder
Description
I made these filament holders to use with my heavily modified Ender 3. It holds the filament spindle perpendicular to the machine, so I can have multiple filaments mounted for the multi-filament hotend. It is designed so you can put a 608 (608-2RS, 608ZZ, whatever) bearing on each side. I use a piece of threaded rod and nuts from Home Depot as the axle. You'll need two of the spindle holder knobs. I just heated the nut, and pressed it into the knob, so they wouldn't come out. You may not need to heat it. Without the knobs, the axle can work it's way out while printing. The holder knobs make it real easy to take the spindle off when you want to change it. I printed in PLA, which works well enough. I'm going to reprint in PETG, if I ever get around to it.
