e36 Sunroof Motor Cover w/ Microphone Mount
Description
I created this bezel using Fusion 360 to replace the original damaged part in my 1997 BMW M3 coupe (e36) and to also provide a clean installation of the microphone that came with the JVC KW-M785BW double-DIN head unit. The cover was printed face-down with supports using black Overture PETG*. It was then sanded smooth and painted with several thin coats of Rust-oleum textured 7220 black spray paint to closely match the factory texture of surrounding components. Important Considerations: *If you live in a hot climate, I would advise using a filament with higher heat resistance than PETG as it is prone to warping/distorting.
