Filament Sensor Holder
Description
Reason of making I do not want to use the filament roll holder on top of the printer (Example: Elegoo Neptune series or Creality series). But I want, that the filament runout sensor was on the top of the machine, near by the the extruder. (see pictures) So, I make my own design, because I do not find a remix on thingiverse Design I replaced the M3 screw of the filament sensor with a longer M4 screw and added a steel screw eye I use (M3 long). I use a steel screw eye, because the filament flow is much mor smoother and cleaner than a printed one. All these things can be bought on the internet or in a local tool store. The gcode includes a thicker wall (from 0.8mm to 1.6mm), because in a view to higher stability to the holder. Mounting Very easy! Unmount the original filament roll holder on the top and replace it by the new tool. Pick the filament put it thought the screw eye, then thought the filament sensor (as shown in the printer instructions) and in the extruder. Ensure that the filament is smoothly running through the complete system. That all. Happy printing Additional information Clear, you will need a separate desk filament roll hold. I use my filament dryer for this. I upload the Fusion360 file too. So you can change the design, to adapt to your printer, for example the use a meld thread instead of the screw eye or to use the original M3 screw from Elegoo.
