Tweeter Pod, RX330 A Piller
Description
The RX330 A piller's don't adapt that well to aftermarket speakers. I don't work with fiberglass and I don't like cutting into OEM panels. I made this pod that mounts where the stock tweeter goes, but it mounts on the top surface and fits into the triangular slots where the metal grill goes. The grill is easy to remove by bending the little tabs back. Use some short 3mm or maybe some #6 selft tapping screws to mount the adapter. To make a template to drill small holes for mounting, flip the part over and sink it down so only about 2-3 mm of the mounting surface is visible in the slicer. Then print it and you have a template! You could also just stop it printing after a few layers. I'm using a H Yanka tweeter so I have included the Freecad file if anybody wants to modify this. You can also send me a request and I will be glad to help. I suggest printing this in PETG, but ASA would probably be the best material. Still working on the prototype.
