Minimal USB SATA adapter to enclosure for 2.5in drives
Description
Thanks to @birdmatic for the original print! SSDs are probably fine, but 2.5" magnetic hard drives have some exposed circuitry on the bottom. I didn't want to risk placing this on my PC case and shorting something. So I extended the bottom edge of the design so a drive can sit flat and not worry about shorting out (assuming you don't print with some crazy conductive filament!) You can add rubber feet or something. There's a cutout to make removal of the drive easier. Works with the Startech SATA to USB adapters like those pictured, and their clones. ### Dimensional notes 1. The exterior of the SATA side of the adapter should be maximum 47mm wide x 11.5mm high in order to fit inside this. 2. Your 2.5" drive needs to be 7mm high or slimmer in order to fit.
