Syringe holder for CMA pump
Description
Has it ever happened to you that you're trying to perfuse a microfluidic chip with your trusty old CMA 400 syringe pump, but the syringes keep sliding in their clamps? And if you tighten the clamps, it deforms the syringes, causing leakage around the piston? A bit of a niche problem, I suppose, but it kept happening to me so I made this. It fits 4 standard 5 ml plastic syringes (I forgot the brand, but most such syringes should have nearly the same outer diameter). Slide the syringes into place in this holder, and the flanges will stop the syringe from being pushed along as the pump plunger advances. That way, you don't depend on tightening the screws of the clamp at all, and can use even small volumes in the syringes without risking the pump going beyond its tolerance zone. Like I said, a bit of a niche problem to have, but if you know, you know - and then this might come in as handy for you as it did for me.
